Our whole family got to go to a big reunion this last weekend which ended up being so much fun. One of the greatest parts was to see my Dad so happy. His family hadn't had a reunion in 50 years and probably won't for awhile and he was so excited for this. Everything went really well and it was a great experience to see all of my siblings and cousins again and learn more about my roots.

Our new foster baby :)
This is our new foster baby, Kaleigh. We just got her earlier this week. She is 16 1/2 months old right now (about 6 weeks younger than Madelyn). She has been a really sweet little girl to have at our house. She's very shy and cautious, she loves food and sleeps well. She has beautiful eyes, she is such a doll- and her hair makes up for Madelyn's lack of... Sorry about Madelyn's nudy-tudy photo. We don't know anything about long/short term placement info. for her right now, but I'll keep you updated when we do.

Hey Krista,
I'm new to the blogging thing, but loving finding so many friends through it! How are you doing??? Your foster daughter is adorable! I'm totally jealous of the hair too... Alyssa is still a little baldy too!
We miss you over here!!!
Love ya!

I'm so glad that you let me know about your blog, I love keeping up with friends this way! Your foster girl is so cute. Some of our best friends have a foster son, they are hoping do adopt him, but it also put their family from 3 kids to 4! How is your family?
I can't believe how big your girls look already. I hope we can catch up with you during Christmas somehow.
Life is crazy and I'm sorry we haven't written back to your girls. I'll get on it soon.
Miss ya!

Krista,
It's good to hear from you and see how your family is getting along. We hope all continues to go well for you.
Krista!! I'm so happy you jumped on the blog bandwagon!!! AND I'm so happy you're foster parents now, that's great!! Your girls are huge and darling as ever. I can't wait to see what cute costumes you came up with for Halloween :)
Wow--good for you guys for getting all your certifications for fostering. You guys are so good and kind. Every child deserves a home like yours, even if it has to be temporary. It's great to hear form you guys every so often. We can't wait until Derrick has some more time to visit family--we've missed you guys--but when James starts making some money we'll head out your direction.
