McKee Ranch

So we had some major concerns arriving at the McKee Ranch because it definitely doesn't have any Vegas flair (reminded me of someones lawn in VA with LOTS and LOTS of lawn ornaments)... but it was so much fun for the kids to just enjoy being at a ranch, wandering around a farm, and just playing. There were a lot of odds and ends everyone had fun playing with or on...

And you could find lots of Halloweeny places to pose...
I love this picture because Madelyn and Eliana look like they are getting way involved in a race, even though their horses aren't going anywhere.
I'm surprised the pumkin didn't burst beneath me...
This was the lovely tractor-pulled hay ride we got to go on.
There were all sorts of donkeys, horses, ponies, goats, chickens, rabbits, mice, etc. wandering around the place. This is Bella, a very large carriage horse. Everything was very much hands-on.
I didn't realize the pig was even there till it popped up out of nowhere in time for the picture.
They put little snacks and drinks around for refreshment that you could enjoy with the goats, who had also found the snacks enjoyable.
Without knowing what to expect, it was a pleasant surprise to have everyone enjoy themselves so much and have a happy halloween activity to do together. At the end we picked out a pumkin that we can spend another night carving out and eating seeds.
