Snowmobiling in Idaho- LOTS of fun

We decided to make a quick trip to Idaho over Thansgiving.  It worked out best if I flew with the girls ahead of Darrick and we all drove back together after Thanksgiving, because Darrick didn't have enough time off.  We arrived over the weekend and Sunday evening the older girls went to visit cousins in a nearby town.  There was a very large and long blizzard that caused the roads to be closed completely until Wed. afternnoon, when Darrick was due to arrive.  I was "snowed in" with Bryn and Madelyn up at Green Canyon with Gma and Gpa Neibaur, while Katlyn and Lauren were "snowed out" unexpectedly for several days with no extra clothes or pajamas- just a very kind Aunt/Uncle that took them in and kept them overly spoiled.  The snow all made for spectacular views, particularly when snowmobiling.  The girls enjoyed small ecpeditions in the snow until they became too numb and stiff to play any longer.

One of a few snow caves Darrick dug out

Every Thanksgiving Day there is a water basketball game.  This year Darrick was caught in the eye by one of his cousins.  Although there was no real damage to the eye, it was pretty ugly for a couple weeks.  At one point it was swollen and every single part of the white of his eye was completely red, not just blood shot, but bloody RED.  He looked like a villain from a sci-fi movie.  I couldn't keep from staring at him sometimes because he looked evil... from one side.
Darrick's ugly eye injury

And finally (drumroll please) the gender reveal of the baby we are due to have early in April.  Surprises all around!

Thanks for the updates and congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm sure his sisters will spoil him and Dad will enjoy having a little more testosterone in the house.
