These photos are not in any particular order... the morning of our departure from a wonderful visit to Idaho we went huckleberry picking. A first for myself, though I hear about it and reap the benefits (huckleberry-raspberry jam) every year. It was a very fun way to spend our last morning. I learned the huckleberries sell for $89/gallon and treasured the little berries all the more. We enjoyed huckleberry milkshakes as we hit the road home.

Madelyn declared she needed to go potty, so she learned the very natural way to go about doing that.

This is the dusty way back home from picking- we left some of the group behind since we had to get going.

While we were there we had the opportunity to celebrate a cousins' birthday. Mackenzie turned six and the girls all enjoyed their first slumber party!! I have no pictures of that, but here is the cake party we all spent together the next day.

Take a look at that cake! A little much for me to try and tackle, but it was fun watching it go up!

Look at all those toe-headed grandchildren! For the time being, all Neibaur grandchildren were present and pictured.

For Katlyns 7th birthday we went indoor miniature golfing (air-conditioning is not taken lightly in Vegas). This is a picture with the flash:

But the whole 18-course building was lit with only black-lights so the course looked something like this to us: (except we could see our faces- it was pretty cool)

Then we finished the afternoon off with a little swim party. I don't know if it's appropriate to call it a party, I didn't allow the friends/invitations/games/entertainment/etc. this year. Maybe I'm a bum mom but it gets to be a little much, I can't do that every year for each kid.

First day of school, I am not against having them ride the bus.

Katlyn finally lost one of her front and center teeth. She let Darrick yank it out with pliers when it got too wiggly. She claims she is the LAST girl in her class to get her permanent front teeth in.

And her is our sweet little Eliana. She is trying out solids, and HATES it. Now she cries just from seeing the spoon, it's pathetic.

She is starting to get up on her hands and knees for some bouncing around... and she can roll and scoot herself to about any corner. She is still a little doll but starting to voice her demands for change of scenery or impatience. The quiet happy-go-lucky baby was sure nice while it lasted, but I'm afraid she has begun to grow out of it just a tiny bit. Perhaps it's just teething (she got a couple in already).

The black-light golfing looks cool. I hope the girls have fun at school this year.
So glad you found us! We need to get together when we are down in Vegas sometime. Your girls are darling!
