Red, White, and Blue

We ended up watching the fireworks from an outdoor amphitheater, sponsored by a local casino :) on a blanket over artificial grass. The weather was surprisingly splendid and we all had a great time. The fireworks show was really awesome and choreographed to music. This is from one side of the blanket....
This is from the other side....
We had tons of little fourth of july trinkets, toys, gadgets, stickers, & tattoos that kept the girls more than occupied before the big show.
The girls decided to have a "slumber party." This involved lots of girly things, but ultimately a much later bedtime, and a much earlier morning... so I don't know how often we'll repeat the event.Darrick's 'best man' from our wedding, finally had a wedding of his own that we went to in UT. Darrick had his hands awfully full when the music was turned on.
Not sure what I'm doing down there, but it's the only one I'm in.
We took the opportunity of being in UT to visit the SLC temple with our children. They really enjoyed the new miniature "dollhouse" sized version in one of visitors centers that shows the inside with the furnishings and different floors.

I also had my first opportunity of visiting an IKEA store. Wow, that was a different experience. FREE babisitting so that I can SHOP!? They definitely have the right idea there, just wish one was closer...

Thanks to the Spauldings for letting us crash on you again, and it was fun to see James, thanks for hanging out with us... no pics of either.

Hey Krista,
We miss you guys. It looks like you are doing good and surviving the hot summer :) As for the Wii games, Shawn said he would get Mario Galaxy 1. He LOVED the first one. It was really one of the first games he totally got into and it took him a long time, but it was so exciting when he passed it. The second Mario Galazy he passed in a week or two, but maybe that is because he was better at it by then. I don't know, but he still said he like the first one best. Hope that helps!

Your girls are getting so big and soooo beautiful. Emma still says Katlyn is her best friend. I hope we can see you sometime soon.

Krista, you're worse than I am--come on--post some pictures of your babies. Are you guys going to Neibaur's for Thanksgiving or Christmas?? I think we are planning Thanksgiving, but we want to try and be there whenever you guys are
